Summer is fast approaching here in the Mid-West. Spring came and went very quickly. Already the children are on summer vacation, which means finding activities to do with them.
One of my favorite is the age-old watercolor over oil pastel resist. In this case, it's Twinkling h2O's over oil pastel.
The kids always love this technique. I usually set a theme and they have to choose colors and shapes that best represent it. Sometimes my 8yo will draw something of the theme and paint it, and other times, it's about shape and color only.
Either way, it helps pass the time and keeps their creative muscles flexed. I'll be looking for some fun art projects to do with kids, so if you have any ideas or links to websites that might be useful, please let me know and I'll share them around as they come to me.
Have a great week, and thanks for stopping by. xx
