After a crazy mid-spring snow storm, the sun has returned to Iowa and the gardens are once more blooming.
I have so little time right now for anything other than scribbles in my sketchbook.
I've been using my watercolor pencils a lot.
They seem to be my sketchbook medium of choice right now.
I find they are the easiest to carry around, there's no mess, and I can do SO much with them.
Looking back at my sketchbook pages recently, I've noticed that so many of them are done in Watercolor Pencil, with an occasional wash of watercolor paint.
Every day more blooms appear in the garden.
The butterflies are not here yet, but I can seem them in my head, so I put them on the page.
Be sure to take a sketchbook with you wherever you go, and all you need to go with it is a small selection of watercolor pencils, a water brush, and a black pen.
Thanks for checking in. xx
