In Celebration of.....

This week is my daughter's birthday week...on Friday she turns 7.

I love that children put magic and excitement into aging.

Really, you can't stop it, it's inevitable, and we should all celebrate our birthday milestones far more magically than we probably do.

With a soon-to-be seven year old, a birthday is an event that needs lots of discussion and analysis.

She's at the delightful age where she wants to hear the story of her birth over and over.

We've been pouring over photo's from her glorious life, and she's been spending a lot of time beginning to come into her "awareness-of-self" stage in life.

It is truly beautiful to watch, and I'm as as much into the excitement as she is.

Today is Day 26 of Art Every Day Month....make art and be free!

Thanks for checking in. xx

  1. wow! 7 years - that's a big step :) she's growing up. HaPpY biRtHday!!! enjoy it, mom, they don't stay little for long (said the mom of a 19 year old and a 29 year old) and they still want to hear those stories :)

  2. Your daughter and I share the same birthday... though many years apart. And, while birthdays are not necessarily something I look forward to, we take every chance we can get to celebrate!

Happy birthday to your daughter and I hope she has a wonderful celebration!

  3. that is such a great age... the next few years will be so full of fun and laugher... hope she has a marvellous week...xx

  4. Happy birthday to her! Children make you see life from a new (or should I say an old) perspective. They help us to not forget the little things in life. Enjoy!! :)

  5. What a magical age! The vibrant pink treat captures that magic!

  6. That is such a dear age where Mommy is the greatest thing in the world and the two of you will form the bonds that will last a lifetime!!! Wishing you both sunshine and happiness always
