In two weeks time, more or less, I'll be giving a masterclass, The Art of Luminescence at the Gallery Off Broadway in beautiful Excelsior Springs, Missouri.
I'm very excited to be sharing my love of luminescent art with a studio full of shimmering, glittering, courageous artists.
The hard part has been trying to narrow down which projects to focus on. There are so many ways to create luminescent art, so many techniques and it is impossible to squeeze them all into a single day.
So, I won't. I'll be sharing the fundamentals of luminescence, the basics of glittering technique, and then we'll get mica and crystal under our fingernails.
We'll be playing with shimmering watercolor, and glittering acrylics, and creating two very different, but very beautiful pieces of art.
I'll have loads of yummy paint from Lumimarte for participants to play with. It is going to be so much fun and I'm so excited to be back in a gallery studio giving a live class.
Kathleen Fenton and her amazing team from the Gallery Off Broadway have been working hard to make sure the day is a joy for everyone.
This masterclass has been fully booked for some time now, but Kathleen has generously agreed to open up a few more places in the class.
Accommodation is available at the gorgeous "Elms Resort & Spa", and they offer generous discounts to patrons of The Gallery Off Broadway. Just let Kathleen know if you are from out of town and she'll point you in the right direction.
If you'd like to join me for a day of shimmering art play in the beautiful Excelsior Springs, Missouri on November 17th, I'd love to have you.
