"You may grind their souls in the self-same mill
You may bind them heart and brow;
But the artist will follow the raiinbow still,
And his brother will follow the plow."
~John Boyle O'Reilly
The rainbow has always been a sign of hope, a connection between the divine and the real. It is a symbol of harmony and peace that connects humans to the Gods. Color is the central axis of existence that runs through the very core of each of us.
The seven colors of the rainbow are the inverse to our mono consciousness of reality. Color expresses the diversity of light, the abundance of possibilities, the connections to the spiritual. Learning to embrace all the colors within us is a way to find personal, artistic, and spiritual balance.
Embracing the rainbow is a metaphorical dance of transformation. As we journey through life, the individual colors of the rainbow are the spirit guides that take us along our evolutionary quest to reclaim and honor our divine selves.
In "Divine Color" we will use color to reclaim our 'divine spark'. We will step onto the rainbow bridge, honoring our individual struggles and restoring our connections to our own divinity by creating a sacred mixed media book page. We will explore the connections we have to color and nature as a way to represent our journey, emerging from the seeds of our conscious reality, and stepping into our beautiful 'divine' being.
"Divine Color" is my humble offering to Life Book 2013. Life Book is a year long program, honoring and celebrating 'you'. It is a mixed media art journey that will inspire and encourage participants through year long self-exploration adventure. At the end of the year, participants will bind all their work into a special book...a Life Book!
In Life Book 2013, participants will receive access to two mixed media/art journaling lesson per month. In addition, they will receive special activities, prompts, guidance, inspiration, and more. It is the vision of the beautiful and talented Tamara LaPorte from Willowing, and I am giving away a place on this incredible year long mixed media art journey.
